Job Summary
An Air Hostess is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers throughout the flight. The role includes providing exceptional customer service, conducting safety procedures, handling in-flight emergencies, and representing the airline with professionalism and grace.
Key Responsibilities
1. Passenger Service
Greet passengers warmly and assist them during boarding and disembarkation
Help passengers find seats, stow luggage, and settle comfortably
Address passenger questions, requests, or special needs
Provide assistance to elderly passengers, children, and persons with reduced mobility (PRM)
2. Safety Procedures
Conduct pre-flight safety checks of the cabin and equipment
Demonstrate safety instructions and emergency procedures
Ensure compliance with all aviation safety regulations
Assist during emergencies such as medical issues, turbulence, or evacuations
Operate safety equipment as required
3. In-Flight Service
Serve meals, snacks, and beverages
Handle duty-free sales (where applicable)
Maintain cleanliness and order in galley and cabin areas
Monitor passenger behavior and ensure comfort throughout the flight
4. Customer Care & Conflict Resolution
Provide high-quality service and maintain a friendly atmosphere
Address complaints or conflicts calmly and professionally
Resolve passenger issues using discretion and empathy
Handle difficult or anxious passengers with patience
5. Communication & Coordination
Work closely with the cabin crew team and flight deck
Report any irregularities or incidents to the Cabin Supervisor
Communicate important announcements clearly to passengers
6. Pre-flight & Post-flight Duties
Attend pre-flight briefings to understand flight details, passenger profiles, and service updates
Ensure sufficient stock of in-flight supplies
Complete post-flight reports and documentation
Perform cabin checks after landing

Qualifications
Minimum: 10+2 (Higher Secondary)
Diploma or certification in aviation/hospitality (preferred)
Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset
Basic knowledge of first aid (training provided)
Must meet airline-specific height, BMI, and grooming criteria
Must hold a valid passport and be willing to travel extensively
Work Environment
Variable working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Extensive travel, layovers, and time away from home
Fast-paced environment requiring physical stamina
Working at high altitudes and confined spaces inside aircraft
